Let's be real, Miami. We live in a city that's basically a living, breathing "Best Of" list. Every corner, every cafecito window, every dazzling stretch of beach screams, "I'm the best at something!" But try to nail down what that something actually is? That, my friends, is where the chaos begins.

You know the drill. You’re chilling, enjoying your perfectly normal Tuesday, and then BAM! A text comes in from Aunt Mildred from Ohio, or your college buddy from Kansas, or that one cousin who only visits when it’s below freezing in their state. The question is always the same: "So, what's the BEST place for the coolest, most fun stuff you can enjoy in the magic city.

Suddenly, your brain turns into a frantic rolodex of local legends, hidden gems, and places you swore you'd never tell anyone about. Is it the artisanal gelato place with the lavender-honey flavor, or the abuela who's been scooping guava ice cream for 50 years? Is the sunrise better over South Point or Key Biscayne? And don't even get me started on the Great Cuban Sandwich Debate of 2025. It's enough to make a local want to just point them to the nearest chain restaurant and call it a day! (But we never would, because #MiamiPride).

That, my friends, is precisely the glorious, delicious, sun-soaked problem that I decided to tackle, with the encouragement of planty of others. After countless interrogations from baffled out-of-towners, and realizing the sheer volume of "Best Of" questions about everything from "soul food that slaps" to "Island food that transports you," it became crystal clear: Miami needed an official, quarterly, no-holds-barred, people's choice "Best Of" series.

And guess what? We're doing it!
