Let’s focus on some of the movies we expect to break out as hits for 2021. We’ve selected 10 that have a shot at box office blockbuster success. If you're anything like the rest of us you've been starving to see films in theaters. Yeah, seeing it on Netflix, HBO, Hulu and Amazon is awesome. Getting to sit in your living room taking in some amazing films is a real treat but nothing beats the big screen experience with surround sound and a big bag of popcorn. Let's jump into our list of highly anticipated action films of 2021.
1. Black widow - directed by Cate Shortland
Black widow is among the most mysterious and deceptively dangerous members of The Avengers and looks so good putting her foot in people's ass. Knowing that there's a movie dedicated to her is exciting and we know that our actor can carry the weight. It should be a fun time for this film and we expect it to be one of the top films of the year action wise and otherwise.
2. Mortal Kombat directed by Simon McQuoid
Speaking of action, how can you not include mortal Kombat to this list. With new technologies, an amazing array of characters and a very talented production team and writing team, it's hard to see how Mortal Kombat won't make its mark among the top films of 2021. It even includes a few backstories that help it gain additional new fans.
3. Army of the Dead directed by Zack Snyder
Army of the Dead just looks like a flat out classic. And with the assembled cast it should be a popcorn munching all out zombie fest with a nice story twisted into it. Can't wait for this one and we totally expect it to be among the top films of the year.
4. The Hitman's wife's bodyguard directed by Patrick Hughes
The hitman's bodyguard was a smash and now we get to see all the more Salma Hayek with the hitman's wife's bodyguard. The fun thing about this kick butt blood fest is it doesn't take itself too seriously. It will be fun to go along for the ride and expect it to be one of the top films of the year.
5. Space jam a new legacy directed by Malcolm Lee
Space jam a new legacy will be directed by Malcolm Lee and Star global Superstar LeBron James. The original starring Michael Jordan was a lot of fun and as silly as it needed to be. The new one will grab old and new generations and is sure to be a success considering all the funny characters and a very charismatic and movie ready LeBron James.
